Join us for Flash Fiction Friday! Flash Fiction is the art of telling an incredibly short, but well-rounded story in anywhere from one sentence to 1,000 words. Flash Fiction is celebrated for its ability to convey deep truths and human emotion in just a few paragraphs. The goal of Flash Fiction is to tell a story that readers from all walks of life can resonate with.
At the start of the event, we will read examples of flash fiction generated by Wellesley Free Library's very own short story generator! Then, we will all write our own stories based off the same prompt. At the end, we will read our stories aloud to the group!
All writing skill levels are welcome. Paper and pencils will be provided, but feel free to bring a laptop or your preferred writing device.
