Join us for a discussion of A Good Neighborhood by Therese Anne FowlerCopies available at the second floor Information Desk. New members are always welcome!

"A Good Neighborhood" by Therese Anne Fowler is a contemporary novel that explores themes of race, class, and social justice within a suburban community. The story centers on two families living in Oak Knoll, North Carolina: the Whitmans, who are wealthy and white, and the Alston-Holts, who are middle-class and Black. As tensions rise between the families over a property dispute and a forbidden romance between their teenage children, the narrative delves into the complexities of prejudice, privilege, and the impacts of gentrification
