Weekends: Drop into the Children’s Room and create with Big Blue Blocks!
The Big Blue Blocks set from Imagination Playground contains a wide variety of loose parts, including bricks and cylinders, accented with chutes, channels and parts that suggest motion or connectivity
These modular, rectilinear parts are easy to stack, line up and move around. Children enjoy an endless variety of play patterns including construction, pretend play, role-playing and inventing their own games. Most importantly, they are deeply engaged, active and have hours of fun.

Participants in the Knitting with Friends Program will learn the basics of knitting and make a simple hat. The library will provide knitting needles and yarn. No previous experience is necessary. This is a series that will run through mid-March and attendees are expected to be at all sessions. Space is limited and registration is required.
This knitting class is designed for first-time participants so we can welcome new learners into the fold. If you’ve taken it before, we kindly ask that you leave space for others to join and get started on their knitting journey!

In this exciting program, students will build a variety of military-inspired robots that will respond to their programmed commands. While working with a partner to solve the various challenges, your student will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, how different mechanical components can alter the power and speed of their machine, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with games and challenges using the robots their build with their partner. They're going to have a BLAST!
For kids in grades 2 - 5.
This is a six-week class that runs from March 6 - April 10. Registering for this class commits you to all six classes.
